Security stepped up at Teesside Airshow
The Teesside Airshow kicked off the Bank Holiday weekend amid tightened security at large-scale events around the region.
The UK terror threat level was today lowered from 'critical' to 'severe', but after the Manchester Arena bombing on Monday night, police forces in the North East vowed they would have an increased public presence.

Organisers were hoping to attract around 18,000 visitors to Durham Tees Valley Airport.
