Tributes paid to South Shields sweethearts

Tributes have been pouring in over social media following the deaths of a teenage couple from South Shields. Chloe Rutherford and Liam Curry died in the Manchester attack on May 22.

Actress Stacey Ghent took to Twitter to try and locate the teenagers before their deaths were confirmed. She tweeted to say Liam and Chloe are now 'together forever',

Chloe worked part time at Westoe Travel. Colleagues there described the teenage sweethearts as 'the perfect loving couple' and 'two beautiful young people.'

South Shields FC cancelled their victory parade following the terrorist attack in Manchester. The club tweeted, "Such devastating news. Our hearts break for both families and all who knew these two beautiful souls. Rest in peace, Chloe and Liam."

Others have tweed their sadness at the loss of the teenage sweethearts.
