Jockey, Frankie Dettori, was victorious in the Betway Handicap at Newcastle Race Course coming first, riding Wild Hacked and third on Utmost in the £100,000 Burradon Conditions Stakes.
It is the first time the race course has held an All Weather Championship meeting on Good Friday and it pulled in crowds thought to be more than 6,000.

Dettori told ITV News Tyne Tees he enjoys racing in Newcastle and was excited about racing on the new track.
In a bid to make the meeting accessible to more people than seasoned race goers, organisers themed the event as Alice's Wonderland Family day out. Bouncy castles, ice creams, characters from Alice in Wonderland were among the treats for children.
When asked if it was right to hold the meeting on Good Friday, a holy day, chief executive of the race course, David Williamson, said it was entirely up to individuals if they wanted to partake in betting or not.
