Vodafone has announced the creation of over 2,000 new permanent jobs in the Midlands, North of England, Scotland and Wales.
600 of those jobs will be in Newcastle with 'third party customer service partners'.
We understand they will be based at Stephenson Quarter in the centre of Newcastle at the Convergys contact centre.
The Chancellor of the Exchequer, Philip Hammond has welcomed the announcement.
