Host of North East stars perform at sell-out Brendan Healy tribute

A host of North East stars, including Denis Welch and Peter Beardsley, joined the family of Brendan Healy on Sunday night in a tribute show to the late entertainer.

The tribute evening in his honour took place at the Tyne Theatre and Opera House.

The North East entertainer who passed away in February 2016 of cancer, was remembered by a mixture of music and comedy.

Tickets for the event sold out in a day representing the fondness and popularity of Healy's memory.

Brendan's sister Cathie organised the event which marks one year on after his death.
