Glasses worn by John Lennon go under the hammer in Ryedale
A pair of sunglasses worn by John Lennon are up for auction in Ryedale.
The glasses were restored by Lennon's uncle Charlie after they were damaged in an argument.
In a letter, sold along with the glasses, Charlie Lennon explains how the glasses were stamped on by John whilst arguing with someone on the Phone.
John put the glasses in the bin, but his Uncle Charlie thought it was a waste of money so he retrieved and repaired them.
Clothing worn by Jimmy Hendrix are also among the items up for grabs.
