Benitez: Shelvey focussed ahead of Wolves clash

Rafa Benitez claims Jonjo Shelvey is concentrating on his football ahead Newcastle United trip to Wolves.

Jonjo Shelvey gained a five match ban against Saturday's opponent's in their outing against them at St. James' Park. The midfielder was found guilty of using racially language against Wolves midfielder Romain Saiss by an independent panel and was fined £100,000. Shelvey was also ordered to attend a FA education course as part of his punishment and looks set to play them for the first time since the incident in December.

While the 24-year-old is anticipated to receive a hostile reception from the Wolves support, Benitez suggests the spotlight should remain on the game.

Dwight Gayle is back in training and progressing well on his road to recovery. The Magpies trip to Molineux stadium may come to soon for the 26-year-old to return to the side. Benitez feels his side have enough quality in his side to survive without the striker presence who's scored 20 goals this season.
