Couple found dead at North Yorkshire farm house
Mystery surrounds the deaths of a devoted couple who were not seen for aweek before their bodies were found by police at their farm house.
Concerns about the couple were raised earlier this month and their bodieswere discovered at their bungalow on a turkey farm at Islebeck Farm, near Dalton, in North Yorkshire.
An investigation is under way to determine the full circumstances of theirdeaths.
News of their deaths, which has shocked the local community, was notreleased by North Yorkshire Police until Monday.
It is believed they had not been seen in the village for more than a weekbefore their bodies were discovered, after which police sealed off the area surrounding their home.
It is understood the bodies were found in separate rooms in the house whenpolice officers made their way into the bungalow.
A police spokesman said they are not in a position to officially identitythe couple, but they have been named locally as Andrew and Jenny Robinson, who were both in their early fifties.
The couple were said to be "totally devoted" to each other by friends andneighbours in Dalton where they had lived for many years and were well known in the community.
Mr Robinson who grew up and went to school in the area had worked as ayouth leader for many years.
One friend said Jenny Robinson had been seriously ill recently, which haddevastated the pair.
Another friend added they were a lovely couple and really enjoyed life.
