Ex-Sunderland player Patrick Van Aanholt now at Palace will face off against his former team-mates for the first time since making his move in January. Moyes still holds Van Aanholt in high regards following his move to Selhurst Park and appreciates his efforts during his time on Wearside.

Moyes played down the upcoming rivalry between Van Aanholt and his former work colleagues. The Black Cats boss stated any friendship will be saved for matters off the pitch.

With the money received from Van Aanholt, Moyes was allowed to sign his players bringing in the likes of Darron Gibson, Bryan Oviedo and Joleon Lescott. The former Everton manager worked with all of his latest signings whilst at the Toffees and will all be in contention to play against the Eagles in Saturday.

The 53-year-old feels his men are up against are a 'dangerous side' on Saturday. Palace sit two places above Sunderland in 18th place. Moyes realises under Allardyce's influence, the Eagles are more than capable of changing their current misfortunes and pull away from the relegation zone to secure Premier League safety.
