Lescott: Added incentive against Crystal Palace
Joleon Lescott feels this weeks game against Crystal Palace will have an 'added incentive' against former Sunderland manager Sam Allardyce.
Allardyce rescued the Black Cats from the brink of relegation in 2015/16 but left the Wearside club to manage the England team. Sunderland travel down to Selhurst Park on Saturday in search of their win of 2017. Lescott is in line to make his first start for Sunderland since signing in January.
Lescott joined the club in the January transfer window on a free transfer after spending time in Greece at AEK Athens. The 34-year-old was welcomed to the club by David Moyes who he previously worked under at Everton.
Lescott recognises Sunderland are in a fight against relegation this season but remains adamant the Black Cats will fight towards the bitter end.
