A host of North East stars will perform at a Brendan Healy tribute night

A host of North East stars are set to perform in memory of Brendan Healy.

A tribute evening in honour of Brendan Healy has been arranged for 19 February at the Tyne Theatre and Opera House.

The North East entertainer who passed away in February 2016 of cancer, will be remembered by a mixture of music and comedy.

Guests include Denise Welch, Peter Beardsley, Tim Healy and ITV Tyne Tees own Pam Royle who will be in attendance on the night.

Tickets for the event sold out in a day representing the fondness and popularity of Healy's memory.

Sister Cathie will organise the event which marks one year on after Brendan's death.
