Little Mix announce Durham Cricket Club gig
The biggest girl band in the world, Little Mix, has announced a summer show at Durham County Cricket Club. The four piece, which includes two singers from South Tyneside, will be at the Emirates Riverside, in Chester-le-Street on Saturday 15 July as part of their Summer Shout Out tour.
South Tyneside's Jade Thirlwall and Perrie Edwards will be back in the North East will fellow band members Jesy Nelson and Leigh-Anne Pinnock.
2016 was an incredible year for the band with another No.1 single 'Shout Out To My Ex', and their album 'Glory Days', shooting straight to No.1 on the Official Albums Chart. The record has spent a total of four weeks in the peak position and is the quickest selling album in the UK charts by a girl group since Destiny’s Child’s Survivor in 2001. It is also the longest-reigning girl group No.1 album of the millennium.
The Summer Shout Out begins on 21 May at Wirral Live with the run of 13 shows finishing at Emirates Riverside, home of Durham County Cricket Club on Saturday 15 July.
