Sam Lavery realises Newcastle Arena dream
County Durham teenager Sam Lavery said her dreams came true when she stepped onto the Metro Radio Arena stage.
The X Factor contestant performed at the 10,000 capacity venue alongside chart-topping stars such as John Legend, Craig David, Olly Murs and Calum Scott for Christmas Live.
Sam spoke to Rachel Sweeney backstage and said she always dreamed of singing at the arena in Newcastle.
Thousands of fans were on their feet when Sam sang Mary J. Blige's No More Drama and Selena Gomez track Good For You.
The excitement for Sam didn't start on stage - it started behind the scenes when she bumped into one of the biggest stars in the world, John Legend.
Also on the bill was Olly Murs. As an artist who also competed on The X Factor, the Years and Years singer had some advice for Sam.
Olly, who has released his new album 24 Hrs, told us Newcastle is one of his favourite places to perform because the people are 'great, loud and fun!'
From one X Factor success story to another - Louisa Johnson joined the line-up. Louisa has released Forever Young, Tears and So Good since winning the ITV talent show last year.
Here's what advice Louisa has for Coxhoe's Sam Lavery.
If we are talking success stories, we have to mention Britain's Got Talent star Calum Scott.
He catapulted himself from recording in his bedroom to performing at arenas.
So how did he do that?
Few people know what it's like to sing on an arena stage. Jonas Blue told us how it feels.
