A North Yorkshire reserve has welcomed a third new rhino.

Chanua is the third black rhino to be brought into theme park Flamingo Land Resort in North Yorkshire, in its Selous Reserve.

The four-year-old has been transferred from Chester Zoo, where she was born in October 2012 to father Magadi and Mother Ema Elsa.

Flamingo Land opened its Selous Black Rhino Reserve in 2015 to aid efforts in the global breeding and conservation programme. It is the only animal collection in the UK to have both black and white rhinos and both species are part of the European Endangered species Program (EEP) which aims to safeguard the future of species through co-operative breeding.

Chanua can be seen in the Reserve during the winter daily from 26th November onwards.
