Budding journalists visit ITV newsroom for Tyne Tees taster sessions

Budding journalists have been on a visit to the ITV News Tyne Tees studios as part of initiative to give youngsters a look behind the scenes.

ITV was among the broadcasters, which signed up to the Open Newsroom scheme.

At ITV News Tyne Tees, pupils from Acklam Grange, Middlesbrough, Grangefield Academy, in Stockton, and Newcastle's Excelsior Academy, spent the morning finding out how we put together our programme, bulletins and our website.

It is the third time ITV Tyne Tees has taken part in the initiative, which gives youngsters a unique insight into the media.
