Poorly North East children taken on Dreamflight trip of a lifetime
A group of children from the North East who all have serious illnesses or disabilities have been taken on a special holiday to Orlando, Florida.
There are 192 children on the Dreamflight trip. For many, this is their first time away without their parents and they are being looked after by a large team of doctors, nurses and other volunteers.
They were given a big send off at the weekend. The children travelled to London for a big party on Saturday night, before flying out of a private hangar at Heathrow Airport the following day.
Some of the Paralympians were there to see them off, including Natasha Baker. She went on the trip when she was a child. "I have so many memories" she said.
During the ten-day trip, the children visit theme parks such as Disney's Magic Kingdom, Universal Studios, SeaWorld and Wild Florida. They will also get the chance to go swimming with dolphins.
Joe Wheatley, 13, is one of the children on the trip and told us:
