People in the region are today jumping for joy as a new trampoline park opens on West Road in Newcastle.
It’s part of a £3million project by local charity North Country Leisure and Newcastle City Council to renovate and expand existing leisure facilities in the area.
The council is hoping that the 13,000 sq ft indoor park, which boasts state-of-the-art equipment such as foam pits and an extreme dodgeball area, will help Newcastle’s leisure services bounce back while helping kids and adults to keep fit.
As well as the trampoline area, the sport centre has a new fitness studio and fully equipped gym.
