Quorn recall soups wrongly labelled as vegan

Shoppers are being warned of a product recall by vegetarian and vegan food company Quorn, based in Stokesly, North Yorkshire

In a release on the Food Standards Agency (FSA) website, two of the company's meat free soup range are listed as recalled as they 'contain egg which is not mentioned on the labels.'

The Meat Free Moroccan Soup and its Meat Free Red Thai Soup are meant to contain Quorn vegan pieces but actually contain non-vegan pieces. This also means there's a possible health risk for anyone with an allergy or intolerance to egg.

The products affected are only sold in Sainsbury’s.
