X Factor wildcard for Coxhoe's Samantha Lavery

It's been an emotional rollercoaster for County Durham's Samantha Lavery. She will go through to the Judges' Houses round of The X Factor competition after being handed a wildcard.

She was in tears as she left the show during Saturday night's Six Chair Challenge but Louis Walsh gave her a second chance, naming Samantha as one of the wildcards.

A soulful rendition of Jessie J's Mama Knows Best impressed the screaming audience but did not impress mentor Simon Cowell. She was given a seat but later replaced.

Each judge was asked to choose a contestant to bring back for one of the other panel members. Louis Walsh chose Samantha for Simon.
