Woman robbed and assulted on A172 near Stokesley

Police are appealing for information after a 22-year-old woman was robbed and assaulted by the roadside in the early hours of Sunday (September 18) near Stokesley.

The woman, who lives locally, was driving along the A172 towards Stokesley at 1am on Sunday morning. As she approached a set of crossroads near Faceby, she noticed the vehicle behind her was flashing its headlights.

She pulled over and two hooded males got out of the following vehicle and approached her car. They robbed the woman, took money from her and physically assaulted her before leaving.
