Great North City Games in Newcastle and Gateshead

The Great North City Games are taking place on Newcastle and Gateshead's quayside on Saturday.

It is an annual event which takes place the day before the Great North Run.

More than 6,000 children have been taking part in the Junior Great North Run and the Mini Great North Run.

Top-flight athletes, including Olympic long-jump medalist Greg Rutherford, arel also be taking part in a series of competitions.
