A drunk driver who left a woman with a serious brain injury after crashing his car into a row of cars has been jailed for four years.
Lewis Heslop admitted causing serious injury by dangerous driving. The 26 year old was behind the wheel of a silver Hyundai when it hit several parked vehicles before striking the woman on Easson Road in Darlington in June.
Judge Simon Phillips jailed Heslop at Teesside Crown Court for four years and banned him from driving for six years.
