Boro has had to carry out a £5m revamp on its Riverside Stadium to fulfil its return to the top flight.

After seven years away the Boro had just 90 days and 90 nights to bring the whole ground up to the new standards set by the Premier League.

The stadium has never looked better.

Floodlights four times brighter than the old ones have been installed for the television cameras, there's a new media suite where managers will receive a grilling after matches.

Even the dressing room has been refurbished to the highest standard.

The pitch has been ripped up and a new one rolled out.

It looks pretty good from the air, too.

At one time ticket sales slumped to nine thousand for some mid week games but with the big times back season ticket sales have rocket to 23,000.

There's no better indicator of the buzz around the Boro though than business at the club shop, which is expecting bumper sales tomorrow.

Weeks of work and millions of pounds spent, all in anticipation of a great start to Middlesbrough's return to the big time.
