Kelloe stabbing: Man still on the run after fatal attack

A manhunt remains underway after a man in his early 30s was stabbed to death in a County Durham street.

The victim was attacked shortly after 2pm on Wednesday in the village of Kelloe.

Durham Police immediately launched a manhunt and on Thursday morning a cordon was still in place.

Police were reassuring residents there would be increased presence in the village.

The victim was taken to the James Cook Memorial Hospital in Middlesbrough where he died a short time later.
