Steve Bruce in the frame for England job
Hull boss Steve Bruce has been interviewed by the FA about the vacant England manager job according to reports.
Bruce, who grew up in Wallsend and is a product of the famed Wallsend Boys Club, lead Hull back to the Premier League after being relegated in 2015.
Sunderland boss Sam Allardyce has also been spoken to by the Football Association and is still seen as the favourite to succeed Roy Hodgson.
Bournemouth manager Eddie Howe and USA coach Jurgen Klinsmann have also been linked with the role.
Prior to talks with the FA, Bruce recently said it was "highly flattering" to be linked with a role he hopes goes to an Englishman.
Former Newcastle and England captain Alan Shearer recently backed Bruce for the England job.
