Comforting quilts for seriously ill children hand made by Teesside craft ladies
A group of Teesside craft ladies have used their skills to make special quilts to comfort children who are in hospital.
Stockton’s Project Linus UK group – set up with funding from Tees Valley Community Foundation – make the special quilts, which give a sense of security and comfort to sick and distressed children in local hospitals.
In their first year of sewing together, 160 of the patchwork comforters have been donated to children through North Tees Hospital.
Anyone who has fabric that they could donate to the ladies is being urged to contact the group.
