Teesdale swimmer hails 'amazing' National Championships
A swimmer from County Durham has praised this year's National Partnership Swimming Championships.
Kit Heywood, from Teesdale Special Olympics Swimming Club, was among 160 competitors taking part in the event in Swansea over the weekend, which included some of the UK's best swimmers which have a learning disability.
The 28-year-old said the sound of the crowd cheering him on felt "amazing". He told ITV News:
The championships are run in partnership by Mencap, Special Olympics GB and British Swimming.
