Dave Anderson MP: Jeremy Corbyn 'should do what he wants'
Blaydon MP Dave Anderson has backed under-fire leader Jeremy Corbyn after he lost a vote of no confidence.
Corbyn has refused to resign as Labour leader despite the party's MPs overwhelmingly backing a vote of no confidence.
A total of 172 MPs said they had no confidence in Corbyn compared to 40 who backed him.
Mr Anderson, recently promoted to shadow Northern Ireland secretary amid the Brexit fall-out, said Mr Corbyn should do "exactly what he wants to do."
