Stokes steps up rehabilitation after knee surgery
England all-rounder Ben Stokes will step up his latest injury comeback tonight for Durham in their T20 Blast match against Yorkshire.
The 25-year-old underwent knee surgery last month after suffering torn cartilage during England's first Test match against Sri Lanka at Headingley.
Stokes will continue his rehabilitation this evening after being named in Durham Jets' 14-man squad to face Yorkshire Vikings at the Emirates Riverside.
Stokes, who grew up in Cockermouth, featured as a fielder in Durham's drawn County Championship match against Yorkshire on Thursday.
But he will be aiming to prove his fitness as a batsman only tonight ahead of England's first Test against Pakistan at Lord's on July 14.
The King and Queen of Lesotho will at the Emirates Riverside to watch the match.
