County Durham man to become UK"s first quadruple amputee model
A young County Durham man is to become the UK's first quadruple amputee model.
Lyndon Longhorne has been signed up by Tyne Tees Models.
The 20-year-old contracted Meningitis as a baby and as a result lost his legs, part of his right arm and the tips of the fingers on his other hand when only eight and a half months old.
He took up swimming after being encouraged by his Grandfather when very young, and now dreams of representing Great Britain at the Paralympics.
Lyndon now attends Northumbria University, where he also competes on their Swimming Team.
He also started his own designer sportswear clothing brand called 'UnparaLLeled Fitness.'
In 2014 fashion designer Carrie Hammer used a quadruple amputee mode in her New York Fashion Week catwalk show.
It's hoped that with Lyndon's wheel chair and prosthetic limbs (including two legs and a bionic arm) he can be more mobile and versatile.
