Tyne Tees Weather - Rest of the weekend
Finally, a dry day on Saturday with increasing amounts of sunshine and decent temperatures for the middle part of the weekend.
The drier spell is pretty short lived as rain is expected to arrive from the west later on Sunday, accompanied by stronger winds - noticeably so after over a week of light winds.
Temperatures will improve as we head into next week but a breezy start with sunshine and showers. For eastern areas, especially the coastline, conditions will be much improved on the cooler and cloudier conditions of late.
Here's your TYNE TEES forecast for the next few days.......
SATURDAY;
A cloudy start, with patchy light rain in places, mainly in the south. This will soon clear and it will become dry, with some sunny spells developing later. Highs 16°C.
OVERNIGHT:
It will be a dry night with clear spells and some patchy cloud amounts. Winds will fall light allowing temperatures to just dip into single figures. Lows 7°C.
SUNDAY:
A dry, bright morning, but becoming cloudier from the west with some patchy afternoon rain over the Pennines/Cheviots. More persistent rain will then spread eastwards later in the evening. Winds freshening later. Warm at 18°C.
OUTLOOK:
Early rain on Monday soon clearing to brighter and drier conditions in the afternoon. Breezy into Tuesday but mostly dry with some sunny spells. Some sunshine midweek and winds lighter, but a higher risk of showers developing.
