Two thousand jobs could be created by Newcastle Science Park
Two thousand jobs are set to be created after a 65 million pound investment in Newcastle's Science Central complex.
The science and technology hub, which will include research sites, businesses and accommodation, is already being built in the city. It's on the site of the former Scottish and Newcastle Brewery.
The latest funding, from insurance firm Legal & General, will be used to build 2 office blocks.
Newcastle City Council and Newcastle University are the other long-term investors in the site.
When finished, Science Central is expected to have created around 4 thousand jobs.
It's being billed as one of the biggest urban regeneration projects of its kind in the UK.
What else is planned for the site?
