Halfords Yuasa Racing duo Matt Neal and Gordon Shedden are hoping for a strong points haul in next weekend's British Touring Car Championship meeting at Croft Circuit.

After a commanding victory in the previous race meeting at Oulton Park, Neal travels to North Yorkshire just one point behind championship leader Sam Tordoff in the Drivers' classification.

Neal has won six times at Croft in the past and is looking to continue that good record this year. The three-time BTCC champion said:

Meanwhile Shedden - Neal's team-mate in the Honda Civic Type R's - celebrated his 100th BTCC podium at Croft last year and the Scot is expected to make his 300th start in the series this weekend.

The defending BTCC Champion is currently fourth in the Drivers' standings. He said:

Croft will stage Rounds 13, 14 & 15 of this year's British Touring Car Championship on June 18 & 19.
