SUNDAY:

After a fine and bright start, showers developing and continuing through the afternoon, some turning heavy and slow moving with a risk of hail and thunder. Some pleasant sunny intervals between the showers with light winds. Highs 16-18°C.

OVERNIGHT:

Showers will ease by midnight leaving a mostly dry night with clear spells. Some low cloud, mist or fog patches may develop along the coast. Lows 5°C.

MONDAY:

A fine and dry start with a few scattered showers. Showers possible into the afternoon, perhaps heavy and thundery, most likely over the Pennines. Some sunshine too but low cloud drifting into some coastal areas first thing. Highs 15°C.

OUTLOOK:

Mainly dry Tuesday with sunny spells. Generally cloudier thereafter with a chance of rain at times. Temperatures a little lower than average, especially with a chilly wind on the coast.
