After a convincing 3-0 victory over Everton at the Stadium of Light, Sunderland have ensured they have a place in football's top flight for another season.

A goal from Patrick van Aanholt and a brace from Lamine Kone means Sunderland will have a slice of next year's huge TV rights deal, which will see domestic deals alone handing Premier League clubs around £80m each.

Sunderland's good fortune is bad news for Newcastle United, who will now be relegated from the Premier League at the end of the season.
