Candidates standing for the next North Yorkshire Police and Crime Commissioner announced

The candidates standing for the next North Yorkshire Area Police and Crime Commissioner have now been announced.

This year's candidates are:

• James Christopher Blanchard, Liberal Democrat

• Mike Pannett, Independent

• Julia Rosemary Mulligan, Conservative

• Stephen Howley, Labour

The election will take place on Thursday 5 May 2016, between 7am and 10pm.
