Junior doctors to strike after talks break down

Junior Doctors across the region are set to go on strike this morning after talks with the Government failed to reach an agreement.

The action is part of an ongoing row with the Government over contract conditions.

The British Medical Association (BMA) said the talks had:

The full walkout that had been planned has been scrapped.

Instead, junior doctors will provide emergency care only from 8am on Wednesday 10 February to 8am on Thursday 11 February.
