Carlisle-Newcastle rail line set to fully re-open on Monday
The landslip, which caused part of the Carlisle to Newcastle rail line to close for the last month, has finally been cleared and is expected to re-open fully on Monday, February 8.
Network Rail engineers cleared 35,000 tonnes of rubble and debris from the site near Corbridge.
Replacement buses have been operating between Hexham and Prudhoe since the landslip in January.
