Hartlepool United have re-signed striker Luke James on loan until the end of the season.

The 21-year-old, from Amble in Northumberland, came through the youth ranks at Pools and was named the club's Player of the Year in 2014. But he left Victoria Park for League One side Peterborough the following September.

After spending the first half of this season on loan at Bradford City, James has now been loaned back to his former club.

James joined Hartlepool aged 11 and signed a professional contract when he turned 17. He made his senior debut against Colchester United in December 2011 and just a few weeks later became the club’s youngest-ever goalscorer when found the net against Rochdale.

The forward scored 22 goals in 100 appearances during his first spell at Victoria Park.

Hartlepool manager Ronnie Moore told the club's official website:

He will wear his old number 33 shirt and will be available for Saturday's League Two clash with Notts County.
