Khazri could debut against Manchester City on Tuesday
Sunderland AFC have completed the signing of Tunisian international Wahbi Khazri from French club Bordeaux for a reported fee of around £9 million.
The 24-year-old attacking midfielder arrives on Wearside after agreeing a four-and-a-half-year deal with the Black Cats until 2020, becoming the fifth new arrival at the Stadium of Light this month.
Khazri started his career with French club Bastia, progressing through the ranks to make almost 200 appearances for the club during his five years in the first team, helping them win back-to-back promotions to the French top flight.
Performances for the Corsica club resulted in an international call up for Tunisia in 2013, before a move to Bordeaux a year later.
During his two seasons at Bordeaux he played more than 50 times for the club, netting on 14 occasions.
Since his international debut for Tunisia in 2013, he has earned 13 caps, scoring six times, with appearances in the African Cup of Nations and World Cup qualifiers.
Khazri will wear the number 22 shirt for the Black Cats and could make his debut in Tuesday night’s Barclays Premier League home game against Manchester City.
