Newcastle United defender Shane Ferguson seals Millwall move

Newcastle United defender Shane Ferguson has joined Millwall on a permanent basis.

The Northern Ireland international has been on loan with the League One team since August.

Ferguson has now turned that into a full-time deal, signing an 18-month contract at the New Den.

The twenty-four-year-old Ferguson was born in Derry, in Northern Ireland, but came up through the ranks on Tyneside before making his Magpies' debut in August 2010.

He made 32 appearances in all competitions for Newcastle.
