Veterans' walk opens in Sunderland

Our region has seen some of the greatest losses in war - especially as the North East is one of the main regions that the army recruits from.

Now a lasting memory for all who've served in the forces, both those who've died and those who survived, has been opened in Sunderland.

The memory walk near the cenotaph will be made from engraved granite stones and all forces families will be able to chose to have one made in their memory if they wish.
