Engineers say they hope a section of a major rail line in Northumberland blocked by a landslide could reopen in a month.

The Network Rail line between Prudhoe and Hexham was closed after the landslip between Corbridge and Riding Mill in the Farnley area earlier this month.

It's estimated 35,000 tonnes of earth, rocks and debris fell onto the track after days of rain between Prudhoe and Hexham at the start of the year.

Replacement buses are being used while Network Rail contractors work to repair the damage.
