Family of Sally Allan appeal for help to find her

Police are continuing their search for Sally Allan, who disappeared in the early hours of Boxing Day.

The 59-year-old from Ponteland was last seen on Newcastle's Quayside - three hours after she went missing.

Police marine unit officers have been drafted in to help find Sally Allan.She's been missing since Boxing Day - she left her home in Ponteland just after 3am.

The last location she was seen was next to the Swing bridge in Newcastle - just before 6am - she was dressed in her pink pyjamas, a cream coloured fleece and anorak.

This afternoon her family visited the site and made an appeal.

CCTV is being checked by business owners and police want anyone with information about her whereabouts to get in touch.

An avid walker and a member of a local choir, Sally had enjoyed a very normal Christmas Day.

Sally's family now just want to find out what happened to her after she was at the Quayside.
