France's highest honour awarded to veterans

The highest honour available in France will be awarded to veterans at Durham Cathedral this evening.

The Légion d'Honneur will be presented to those who fought at Normandy, to mark 70 years since the landings - including 95 year old John Gillespie from Ponteland.

There will also be a concert at the cathedral including parades and performances.
