Talks expected in campaign to save Tees Valley Airport
Minister for the Northern Powerhouse James Wharton has agreed to meet campaigners fighting to keep the Tees Valley Airport open.
The number of passengers flying from the airport has declined over the past 10 years.
More than 7,000 people have joined an online campaign to save the airport from closure.
Campaign leader Andy Preston says losing the airport will be another blow to Teesside's economy.
