Tim Farron's love for Prefab Sprout

The world of Twitter has reacted to the news that Lib Dem leader Tim Farron likes 80s band from Langley Park in County Durham, Prefab Sprout. Not only that, but he was in a band himself.

Tim Farron revealed at a party conference that the person he would most like to meet is Wendy Smith from 80s band Prefab Sprout. BBC Radio 4 then surprised the Cumbria MP live on air by introducing him to his teenage crush.

Following this, Huffington Post revealed pictures of Tim Farron when he was in a band himself.

Mr Farron has always been vocal about his admiration for the 80s group!
