Transplant Week 2015: 'Desperate shortage' of cornea donations
A third of adults in the North East remain undecided about whether to donate their organs, even though people die every day because of a lack of donors.
Few are willing to consent to tissue donation which includes the corneas of the eyes.
Thousands of people are on the waiting list to get their sight back, relying on cornea transplants.
