Prime Minister David Cameron will lead the opening celebrations at the new Hitachi Factory in Newton Aycliffe today.

The £82 million factory is bringing more than 700 jobs to the region.

The workforce will build 110 superfast class 800 trains.

There's a large press presence at the opening event, as crowds are treated to an acrobatic display.
