Snakes on a lane! Eight-foot python found on Teesside road

Police have issued a warning after a Burmese Python was found on a road in Guisborough.

It is the second snake found on the same country lane in a matter of days.

The Burmese Python - which is around 8ft - was found by a member of thepublic on Friday evening on Wilton Lane. Earlier in the week a 6ft boa constrictor weighing eight and a half kilos was found on the same road.

A spokesperson for Cleveland Police said: "This is the second snake foundin the area in two days, and officers believe that they could have beenabandoned".
